We collect your name for your account, your email for sign-in and password recovery, your phone as a required beta account attribute, and a protected reference to your NIC to prevent duplicate accounts. Raw NIC numbers are never retained or sent to AI providers. Questions and official evidence are sent to configured third-party AI providers to generate answers. Do not include sensitive personal information in your questions. Questions and answers are retained for up to 24 hours in the active database, then automatically deleted once GovAI launches. Provider retention and backups follow separate policies.

Questions, answers and citations are deleted from GovAI’s active database after 24 hours. Avoid sharing personal identifiers.
